So to fully document this second baby I feel like I should tell a little bit about the first 10 weeks I knew I was pregnant. We found out on October 28th, so I was exactly 4 weeks the following day. I call my doctor, schedule my first appointment for 8 weeks. Its all good, we've been there, done that.
Week 5 rolls around and I start bleeding. Not a lot, but not a little either. I had a little bit of bleeding with Lizzy so it didn't totally freak me out, but it definitely made me uneasy. I call the doctors office, the nurse tells me that there really isn't anything they can do, but to watch it and let them know if anything changes. Also, if I have nay cramping to go along with the bleeding, then it probably isn't a good sign. Ok, great.
Week 6. Still bleeding. Call the doctor again because it is getting a little heavier. Once again they tell me, there is nothing they can do. Ok, great.
Week 7. Still bleeding. No cramping. Just trying to live with it without stressing myself out too much. (Yeah right....). About half way through this week, it gets really bad. I was out to a happy hour (and TMI) I felt a lot happening, if you know what I mean. Still no cramping, but definitely a lot more bleeding. I go home. I freak out.
Week 8. I've had enough even though I had a doctors appointment later this week I call and request something sooner. November 26th which was the Monday after Thanksgiving, they are booked up and I can't get in until the 27th. Ok, whatever. So I go in, and honestly, I was expecting the worst. Well, the tech found a heartbeat right away and the baby was looking good. (Cue tears). She also looked around and didn't see a source for the bleeding so she chalked it up to an irritated cervix. I still had my appointment that Friday, but I didn't expect to get another u/s. But, I did! Yay. So they see the baby right away, with a good heartbeat, but she also sees a rather large pocket of blood that she didn't see on Tuesday. That was the problem. It also was still actively bleeding, so I could expect the bleeding to continue. Awesome.
I saw my doctor that day and she said she was cautiously optimistic that everything would turn out ok. I tried to be....She tells me to come in again in two weeks and have it checked out again.
Week 9. Continue to bleed, no cramping.
Week 10. Continue to bleed, no cramping. The u/s shows a healthy heartbeat, but still the pocket of blood with no change in size. BUT she said that it looked like it was no longer actively bleeding. Yay! Come back in two weeks.
Week 11. See week 9.
Week 12. Bleeding continues. U/S shows a healthy baby and h/b, and the pocket of blood is smaller. Come back in two weeks. We told our families after our 12 week u/s.
Week 13. Bleeding is lighter, but still there.
Week 14. Bleeding is about the same. U/s shows a little bit of blood left, healthy baby.
Week 15. Bleeding FINALLY stops! Yay!
Week 16. U/s shows a healthy and very active baby and no blood! Yay. This whole time I was restricted on exercise and other activities but I was told I can resume living my life the way I want! Yay!
We have our next u/s at 20 weeks, which is our anatomy scan (and no, we will not be finding out the gender again!). This kid already has a ton of pictures, but I can't wait to get more. No second child syndrome yet ;)
I know this is TMI, but I wanted to get it out down somewhere so I remember!

Four Months Later...
Septmeber 19th. I mean its only been 4 months, not bad ;)
Well a lot has happened since September 19th. We moved in with my in laws. Lived there for 4 months. Watched our house be finished. It was so much fun to watch.
Here is the kitchen:

In November we went to Chicago and visited friends, went to the Shedd Aquarium, the circus, and did some other touristy stuff. It was a lot of fun. We celebrated Christmas with our cute girl and our families. And while we celebrated we let everyone in on our little secret that we have been keeping since the end of October.

We are pretty excited to add what we plan on being the youngest child to our family :) I am due on July 8th and I hope to keep track of this pregnancy the same way I did with Lizzy. I was looking back on those and it was nice to read what was going on during my pregnancy with her.
We have since moved into our home. We love it even though it isnt quite unpacked yet. Its so nice to have our own spac again and have all of our stuff out of storage!
Well I hope to be back REALLY soon to document this second babys pregnancy!
