Spin Class=Torture...and other weekend stuff

Wow...I cant believe it is Monday already. What happened to my weekend??
Friday Don and I both had the day off so we went to Leinenkugels Brewery in Chippewa Falls, WI. I had never been there but it was a lot of fun! We took the tour and then got to sample some of their beers for free. You know I like free alcohol!! I dont usually like beer but I loved the Leinie's Berry Weiss! It was yummy!!

The top picture is the only one I got from the tour b/c no pictures were allowed inside the brewery, I guess they are worried about people stealing their secrets :)
Friday night we went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday with some friends. These friends never ask questions about us which is really annoying and then when they found out that Don got a promotion they were mad we didn't tell them....Um, you never asked how we are or what is new! We arent just going to volunteer information about ourselves....Good Lord. Ugh..Sorry.
Saturday I went to Spin Class. That shit is hard. I don't know what possessed me to go but I am glad I did (I had gone once before about 6 months ago, and thought I was going to die...). That is seriously the best workout I have had in a long time! I am so glad I went. I even went again on Sunday morning. I was dripping sweat, got a little tunnel vision on Saturday morning but then recovered and continued. I am actually kind of sad I will miss it this coming weekend....Why you ask? I will be here....

So yeah, I am just a little excited. Its my first girls weekend away ever!! I have never traveled (on a plane or a car!) for a girls only weekend! I cant wait to go out dancing, and just have a good time. The husband even gave me permission to flirt to get some free drinks...We will see, I feel bad doing that! :)
I hope you all have a fabulous week! I have a busy week! Tonight I am taking my friend Laurie (who was a bridesmaid in my wedding) to get pedis for her birthday. She is coming with to Vegas so we need cute feet, right?? Then Tuesday we are celebrating Dons aunts birthday with the fam. Wednesday I have my final for my stats class, yikes! Its open book/notes/old assignments so it should be fine. Then Thursday Kim (who is also going to Vegas) is coming up from Rochester to spend the night b/c our flight leaves at 7am. (The other girl that is going with us lives in Wyoming so she is meeting us in LV) I'M SO EXCITED!! ;)

MN Twins!!!

Seriously!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Twins. They always make it a nailbiter, but seriously, that was an awesome game last night!
I was getting my hair cut during the majority of the game, but I was getting text updates from a friend the whole time. I was so excited to get out of the salon, speed home in the rain (oops!), and watch the end. I thought it was going to be over in the tenth inning, little did I know I had another 2 innings to watch!! Ugh, what a great game.
As soon as the game ended we jumped on both laptops and tried to get play-off tickets....AND WE DID!!! I was so excited we got thru the virtual waiting room and into buy some tickets. We have tickets to the game on Sunday and then (if needed) the game on Monday.
I know the Twins dont have the best record against the Yanks this season, but they are on a hot streak!! Im SOOOOO excited to go to the game!

Oh, and ps...I love my hair cut and the highlights and lowlights, so cute!! :)

Weekend Recap (a little late)

Wow. I am glad Tuesday is almost over already! This week can speed it on up!
So this weekend was busy! Friday we went to dinner with our neighbors, two couples, that we like to hang out with. We went to California Pizza Kitchen to celebrate Dons new job. Then we decided to go bowling. It was a lot of fun, except one of the guys is ultra-competitive and so obnoxious. I tend to think of myself as an ok bowler b/c my dad took us bowling every weekend we were with him (e/o weekend, my parents are divorced). So I am decent. Well I beat this guy who doesnt like to lose, especially to a girl! I had to hear about the fact had he just knocked one more pin down he would have won.....Ugh. Shut up. You didnt knock the pin down, so get over it. You didnt win. I DID! Geez...
Saturday I went to the gym (go me!) around 10, got home around 1130, ate lunch and then had to shower and get ready to go to our friends Lindsay and Ryan's wedding. It was a lot of fun! Between the wedding and reception we had some time to kill so we stopped to visit my grandma. The wedding was up by her house and I couldn't go up there without stopping, she has been sick so I wanted to see if she was feeling better. The reception was open bar! Whoo hoo! Gotta love that. And its not the kind of open bar where they have to pay the tab at the end of the night, they got a package deal and chose the package with an open bar. So they paid a certain amount and had unlimited alcohol, and I didn't need to feel bad for jacking up their bill. I drank SO much. It was ridiculous, but fun!!!:) She was beautiful and it was a great day.
Sunday I slept in, b/c I was hungover. Oops. Then we went and toured the new TCF Bank Stadium which is home to the Golden Gopher football team. The stadium is awesome! I think its funny that they boast about having the THIRD largest score board...but they do have the biggest locker room of any football team (college or professional!) and it is in the shape of a football. It was fun!

Then we headed over to Dons parents house to have dinner and celebrate Dons promotion some more. Then we headed home and folded laundry. Fun!
I am getting my hair cut and colored tonight! I cant wait. Its too blonde right now, I need some darker colors in it to make it more fall/winter-ish. I am excited! :) I'm going somewhere new, hopefully they don't f*ck it up!
And because I feel like sharing...I went to a WW meeting at lunch today and I have reached a loss of 10.4 lbs.. Go me again!
