Also known as Lizzy's birth story.
It started Friday April 15th when I had a doctor's appointment. I was 40 weeks 4 days at this point. Don and I went into the appointment assuming we would be making arrangements to be induced on Monday. We had a non-stress test which went fine. I think Lizzy was sleeping though because I had to drink orange juice and wait for the sugar to kick in. She finally moved enough for their liking and we moved onto the meeting with my doctor. I knew my blood pressure was high, but I didn't know exactly what it was before we met with her. It turns out it was 156/80. That is ridiculously high for me. So as soon as she walked into the room she mentioned that she was not happy with that number. I figured she would tell me it would be ok to wait it out for the weekend though. I was wrong.
She went on to tell us that she was sending us directly to Labor and Delivery. I was shocked. I was ok with being induced on Monday. Not Friday. I cried...its what I do when I am stressed :) She let me try and lay down for 10 minutes to see if that would bring down my bp at all. It did not change. So we asked if we could go home and get our stuff, to which we were promptly turned down, and off we went to L & D.
We checked in at the desk about 11am. They took my to my room and started getting me ready. I got in my gown, got my IV and got the monitors to monitor Lizzy and my contractions. At this point Don went home and got all of our stuff b/c it was clear we weren't going home :) They also started pitocin at this point. Oh, I forgot to mention that at the doctors office she said I was dilated to a 2, but when the nurse checked me she said I was only at about a 1. My doctor came in to check on me and try and break my water. It didnt work, and to that I was thankful because I knew once she broke my water that I had 24 hours for somehting to happen otherwise I would be getting a c-section (little did I know...). So my doc left and told me they would continue with the pitocin for a while and see how I progressed.
From noon until 5 I was on pitocin and was getting contractions but they werent that painful. They were consistent, about 5 minutes apart, but I was not progressing at all. I maybe got to a 1.5 (according to the nurse) but thats about it. My doctor came back before she left for the day and checked me, and decided to turn off the pitocin and insert some Cervadil for the night.
So Friday night into Saturday morning I had the Cervadil, and my contractions pretty much stopped.
Saturday morning the doctor on call came in and checked me. I was at a 3, so the cervadil did help a bit. She broke my water and said she would keep in touch with the nurses. I think she said Lizzy was at a -2 station, so she was still pretty high, but not too bad.
From 8 until about 10 I was having contractions about 3-5 minutes apart, they weren't too painful until about 930 when I decided to get my epidural. I was still only at a 3, but those pit contractions suck. So the doc came in and gave me my epidural. It wasn't too bad, I thought the worst part was the numbing shot they give you. After that I was comfortable, I could still move my legs but I couldn't feel the contractions.
Unfortunately around this time Lizzy's heart rate began to drop every time I had a contraction. I could tell the nurses were not happy with this. They decided they needed to put an internal monitor on her because they couldn't keep her on the external one. They also put an internal monitor in me to keep track of my contractions. At one point her heartrate went down to 60 and I immediately had about 4 nurses in my room and there was talk of getting Don scrubs. I knew this wasn't a good sign.
They called the doc and told her what was going on, and she came in to check me. I was still only at 3cm and when she checked me she found that Lizzy had actually moved up, not down. So then we got the talk. We were told we could keep going on the pit and see what happened over time, or go in for the c-section. We had been there for over 24 hrs at this point, I was tired, and Don and I didn't want to keep going just to end up with a c-section in another 10 hours. So we said yes to the section.
I made that sound like it was an easy decision for me/us, but trust me, it was not. I was terrified of having a c-section, and it was the last thing I wanted. But what can ya do?
So we said yes to the sectin at 135, and I was being wheeled into the OR at about 145, and Lizzy was born at 2:07. Don got to tell me what she was, which was something I wanted all along. It was awesome to hear him tell me she was indeed, a girl.
Everyone in the OR was fantastic. They were telling Don to take pictures, and letting me know what was going on every minute. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I can honestly say I enjoyed my birth experience. No, it wasn't what I wanted, but I couldnt ask for anything more.
After Lizzy was out Don went to be with her while they did all the stuff to her. I was sewn up, which was the long part of the process. I was wheeled out of the OR around 250 and I was in the recovery room about 3. They put Lizzy on my chest and I got to meet my daughter for the first time :) It was awesome.
After being in recovery for about an hour we were taken up to our post-partum room and started our lives together.
The recovery process has honestly been really easy for me. I was on narcotics and Ibuprofen for the pain, but I stopped taking the narcotics about 2 weeks after she was born, and only took the Ibuprofen for about 3.5 weeks. I was told by every nurse who looked at it how good my incision looks and was also told I am a good, fast healer. I honestly don't know that I will try for a VBAC if/when we have another child. I figure my experience was good with this c-section and I already have the scar, so why should I go through a vaginal delivery. I am not making any decisions now, but that is my thought process right now.
So there ya have it...Lizzy's birth story. Long and drawn out :)
Thanks for reading if you got this far....this is mainly for me to remember that day.

Wow babies are time consuming :)
So who forgot to tell me how much work this would be?? (Im kidding by the way...)
Things are going pretty good. Today is mine and Lizzy's first day at home without Don, which has been scary, but is going quite well already. She went back to sleep after I fed her this morning so I ate breakfast and then got ready for the day before she woke up. She ate at 1015 and then we went to the Mall of America looking for a nursing bra (which I couldn't find) and then to Target. I am thinking this is a very successful day for our first day alone! :)
She is a pretty sweet baby and is being pretty nice to us for the most part. She is the loudest sleeper ever so she got evicted out of our bedroom at the end of week 2. She is sleeping well in her crib but I can STILL hear her grunting and I often think she is awake. I have a monitor on in our room but I really don't need it. She is eating about every 3.5-4 hrs at night and the feeding part is quick but she isn't always the easiest to get back down so I am usually up for about an hour. So I am only getting about 2.5-3 hrs of sleep at a time. One night I got 4.5 and I thought I had gone to heaven! I know it will get better so I just have to be patient.
I have a love/hate relationship with breastfeeding. I love it because it is simple to whip out the food source and get the feeding started and over with as soon as possible. I hate it because it hurts and honestly it has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have only been breastfeeding for 3 weeks and I have already had mastitis - which was horrid. I also had an oversupply and we saw a lactation consultant who helped, but that was kind of the cause of the mastitis. Oh well...I got on some antibiotics and felt better the next day. I feel like breastfeeding is getting easier and we are getting the hang of things, and I am going to keep at it for now :)
She is sleeping on my chest right now and I love the cuddle time with her! Here are some more recent pictures of my sweet Lizzy.. :)

Long Overdue....
I'm still here...even though I am sleep deprived and I feel like a milking cow.
We had our baby on April 16th after being induced on the 15th due to high blood pressure. All along I felt we were having a girl, and apparently my intuition was correct :) Elizabeth Ann made her grand entrance at 2:07pm and weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 20" long. She is a very sweet baby and even though I am tired all of the time I love her to pieces!
Here are some pics...Hopefully I will be able to write more about her birth soon....writing with one hand is hard :)

Still no baby...
It's Wednesday. My due date was this past Monday. Still no baby.
This brings me to people asking stupid questions....
Why do people think it is necessary, or their business, to ask me some really personal questions?!?!?!!
Am I dialated? Why yes, I am, only to about a 1-1.5, but yes I am. Would you like to check me to see if I am anymore dialated??
Did you have sex yet to see if that gets labor going??? Why yes, I am having sex with my husband, do you want me to text you when we do it next and let you know if that initiates labor?
Have you walked? Have you scrubbed the floor? Have you chopped some wood (someone put this on my Facebook status today...)??
I don't mind when friends ask me things, or if they give me advice. I know they mean well and want this baby out as bad as we do. But its when random people, usually coworkers, ask me these things that it really gets to me.
Grr.....
Sorry to vent, but I have to be nice to the randoms that give me advice. I don't want to be a b*tch :)
And to my real life friends, I am not talking about you in this post. Promise :)
Hopefully this kid comes out soon...but if not, I will be induced next Monday night. Let's hope it doesn't come to that!!

40 Weeks
Here we are.....today is my due date. I was hoping the baby would be prompt like I usually am, but alas, that is not that case. Oh well. We have an induction set for next Monday evening/Tuesday if the babe hasn't shown up by then. I can last another week right? And if s/he decides to show up before then, great. If not...I guess I will have an extra week off in July. Can't be all bad... ;)
Maternity clothes:
Yup. I love sweatpants too.
Sleep:
It depends on the night.
Movement:
Yup...this is a pretty active little child.
Food cravings:
There isn't anything I just HAVE to have...
Food aversions:
Actually eating meals doesn't appeal to me b/c I get so full so fast.
Gender:
???????
What I'm looking forward to:
Having this baby...
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back. Wine. Wearing regular jeans.
Milestones:
Made it to the due date...but no baby. Oh well. S/he will come when they are ready, even though I am most definitely ready. And I am at work today. Boo.

39 Weeks
I'm kind of over these updates. I am ready for my due date to get here, or the baby. Whichever comes first! ;) I know I said like 2 weeks ago I wanted to go til my due date. Well I can take that back if I want.
I'll be fine if I go that long, but I definitely won't be too concerned if the babe comes before that.
I'm anxious for this whole show to get going. I have a minor breakdown this weekend b/c the whole unknown of it all scares the crap out of me. I'm sure it will all turn out fine...I just don't like waiting and not knowing! :)
Maternity clothes:
Yes. I feel like some of my shirts are getting too short...
Sleep:
Blah.
Movement:
Yeah, a lot of the times it gets painful at this point.
Food cravings:
Sugar.
Food aversions:
Actually eating meals doesn't appeal to me b/c I get so full so fast.
Gender:
Salads....and I still ate one for lunch. Yuck.
What I'm looking forward to:
Having this baby...
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back. Wine. Wearing regular jeans.
Milestones:
One week until the due date. Good enough for me.

38 Weeks/14 Days
Wow. Two weeks until the due date. That is just crazy. We are as ready as we will ever be, I think. We have all the "stuff"....now I just need to mentally prepare myself for taking care of a human being who relies on us for everything. ;)
Maternity clothes:
Yup! Some of my shirts are feeling a little short these days. It makes me nervous that my stomach or at least my maternity jeans panel is showing.
Sleep:
Still not great. Last night I slept fine until 2am and then I was wide awake. I don't think I slept more than 10 minutes at a time for the next 3 hours.
Movement:
Yup, Baby has the hiccups right now. So cute :)
Food cravings:
Starburst Jelly Beans. I love Easter candy!
Food aversions:
Actually eating meals doesn't appeal to me b/c I get so full so fast.
Gender:
I'll let ya know in a few weeks!
What I'm looking forward to:
We have two work baby showers this week. I am going to Don's work tomorrow for his, and then the few ladies I work w/ are throwing one on Thursday. I don't need gifts from them...just cake is good :)
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back. Wine. Wearing regular jeans.
Milestones:
We finished off our registry of the stuff we thought we needed. We left some stuff, but got the bigger items w/ our extra 10% off (Thanks Target). We also are getting the car seat checked tomorrow to make sure its in good and tight.
I can't believe we are down to the final two weeks before the due date. Yay! :)

Boy or Girl: Revisited...
Pay attention to which way you lay down in bed tonight. If you prefer sleeping on your left side, you'll have a boy. Right side? Your pregnant with a girl. I can’t sleep on my left side for too long. I much prefer my right. Girl.(Same)
2. Little girls aren't always sweet. Extreme nausea means you are having a daughter. I do not consider what I had extreme…so boy. (same)
3. If your hands are dry during pregnancy, you are having a boy; soft -- expect a girl. My hands have been less dry than normal during the winter so I am going with girl. This is different than last time I did this.
4. Your favorite pregnancy foods may tell you what sex the baby is. If you're craving citrus while pregnant, you're having a girl. I like anything fruit, so I would say girl.(same)
5. If altering hormones makes your skin break out, expect a girl. My skin has been fine. Boy (different)
6. If you feel as though you're gliding through they day, you'll have a girl. Stumbling? It's a boy. No more clumsy than I normally am. Girl.(same)
7. If your face gets fuller, it means you're having a girl. Nope, boy. (different)
8. Craving salt during pregnancy? Potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means a boy is on the way. Need a little something sweet? Ice cream, chocolate, and candy means you're having a girl. Candy and ice cream are way better than potato chips and pretzels! Girl! (same)
9. If you're experiencing pregnant mood-swings, expect a baby girl to arrive soon. Don would definitely say girl! (same)
10. If you're carrying the baby low on your stomach, expect a boy. If it's high, you're having a girl. High. Very high. Girl.
11. If you're carrying baby in front, it's a boy. Is the baby weight spaced all around your middle? It's a girl. Mainly in my stomach. I can still fit into my regular jeans, expect I can't button them. Girl.
12. Dangle a chain with a charm over your palm. If it swings back and forth: boy. In a circle: girl. I didn’t have a charm so I used my headphones. Circle. Girl. (different)
13. "Show me your hands." If you would hold your hands palms up it's a girl. Down? You're having a boy. This one is hard b/c I could change it depending on what I want. But I think I usually hold them down. So boy. (same)
14. Get baby advice from a nephew or friend's little boy. If a toddler boy shows interest in your belly, you'll have a girl. If he ignores you, it's a boy. He could care less. Boy.
15. Guess the baby's sex by eating garlic. If the smell seeps out of your pores it's a boy. If there's no scent it's a little girl. Girl.(same)
16. If your age and year of conception are both even or odd, it's girl. One even, one odd means a boy. This one is sketchy. I turned 28 in July but we probably conceived this kid before my birthday….The year is 2010. Boy.
17. If the baby's heart beats more than 150 times per minute, you're pregnant with a girl. Less than 150, it's a boy. It has been above 150 every time. Girl. (same)
18. A child tends to be of the same sex as the parent who is less stressed at the time of conception. I was out of school at the time. So I would say me. Girl.(same)
19. If you dream about having a girl while pregnant, you will wind up having a boy and vice versa. I've had it both ways. So I guess this one goes to undetermined.
20. If your right breast is larger than the left while pregnant, you are having a girl. If the left is larger, it's a baby boy. Um. They are probably more the same size now than they were before I was pregnant. So, undetermined. (same)
Tally:
Girl: 12/20 (Last time it was 9/20)
Boy: 6/20 (same as last time)
Undetermined: 2/20 (last time it was 5/20)
So I did this post back in November I think the first time. Apparently there is more evidence of this babe being a girl. But who knows! I just can't wait to find out :)

Baby picture and belly pictures
First, lets start with the best shot of this little ones face that we have gotten throughout the 37 weeks and 4 ultrasounds since I've been pregnant. I am smitten with these chubby cheeks :)

Next up is weeks 35-37 of belly pics. I feel ginormous. I don't know if the clothes I wear to work make me look smaller but everyone tells me I don't look like I am due in three weeks. Thanks, but I feel HUGE! :) I think my stomach looks sufficiently big in my lounging clothes!
Week 35
Week 36
Week 37 (excuse the vacuum, I was cleaning)

36 Weeks
Ugh. I am sick. I am uncomfortable. And I want to sleep all the time. But I still want this kid to stay in for a few more weeks :) I really do hate being sick, and being sick and pregnant is so not cool. I am home today, laying on the couch, and watching bad daytime tv.
Maternity clothes:
Yup!
Sleep:
Depends on the night, I guess.
Movement:
Oh yeah. Moving around like a mad person as I type.
Food cravings:
Ice cream. But we don't have any in the house :(
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
I'll let ya know in a few weeks!
What I'm looking forward to:
The doctor's appointment on Friday. We get one last ultrasound. I hope we can see this little one's profile this time! :)
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back. Wine.
Milestones:
Less than one month til the due date. I can't believe it :)

35/35
Today marks week 35 with 35 days left until my due date. I am probably going to regret these words, but I hope that I go past my due date. I would love to have this little peanut around the 15th. And if you must know my reasoning (right now anyway) is because I would then be off work until around July 11th instead of the 5th. Going back to work right after the 4th of July for a short 3 day work week seems ridiculous to me! But if it happens that I go back earlier, then I will deal with it. I can't control when this little person is going to come...so I will adjust :)
Maternity clothes:
Of course. Its a good thing they make pants w/ elastic waistbands. I feel like I am growing by the second these days!
Sleep:
Eeh. I slept on the air mattress last night b/c all I could concentrate on was the fact that I could hear Don breathing and it was annoying the crap out of me. And b/c he was doing nothing wrong (he DOES need to breathe!) I went to the baby's room.
Movement:
Yeah but s/he likes to scare me sometimes and be really quiet for a while and then the minute I start to worry s/he starts to beat me up from the inside out.
Food cravings:
Not a whole lot. I'm still on a grape kick though.
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
Most people at both of our showers said girl, but Pat (my MIL) said boy. Everyone has their guesses :)
What I'm looking forward to:
Relaxing for the next few weeks....except I am a worry wart and I don't know if that will happen. Last night I had a little meltdown worrying I would be a horrible mother and screw this kid up for life. It's a good thing I have an understanding and caring husband who told me I was being (quote) "ridiculous" :)
I'm sure everything will be fine, but I can't help but wonder...does everyone feel that way at some point before they give birth??
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back.
Milestones:
Our baby showers our done. It was so much fun to celebrate this little person w/ all of our friends and family. We got some of the big stuff which is nice, and a ton of other awesome stuff. We have most of it washed and/or put away. We also have the stroller assembled and ready to go. We need to get the car seat put in and inspected and then we will be good to go.
My next step is packing a bag for the hospital. Any suggestions on what I should put in it???? :)

San Diego
Two weeks ago we went to San Diego for a last vacation before the baby. Yes, most people call these a "babymoon" but I was not allowed to call it this b/c Don hates that term. :)
While we were there we went to the zoo....Their zoo rocks. It was so cool. We got there right as they opened and since people from CA don't get up til noon or so there was no one there! It was awesome. No strollers, no people stopping right in front of us and not paying attention, and nobody obstructing our views to the animals. I read in a touristy book that the panda exhibit wasn't worth it b/c of the lines but since we got there early we went straight back there to see them and we got a great view, and didn't have to stand in line at all.
On our way back to see the pandas we saw this Sun bear out and about...
Then we saw the pandas. There were two on display. This guy who was the most recent cub, and the mama in a different pen. She was sleeping, but he was pretty active.
Don thought it would be funny to take a picture in what he called my "natural habitat." This is me going into the bathroom. I think I found and used every bathroom in San Diego. What can ya do? I'm pregnant!
Elephants (and a llama)!
We took the Skyfari tram from the back of the zoo to the front so we could walk back again on the other half of the zoo. The zoo isn't exactly organized well to walk around, but that is ok. We devised a plan and stuck with it :) We were outta there by 1pm which was good b/c it was getting VERY busy!
Oh, by the way, I was terrified on this thing. I don't like these types of things, and I worry about them falling. Don thought it was hilarious that I was scared...and at one point he thought he should point out that if we did fall we could end up in with the lions! Thanks....but if you survive the fall from those things, you can survive a couple of lions.
(This is the view from the Skytram thingy)
This is the Museum of Man in Balboa Park. It was a super cool building but it was closed for a private event so we didn't get to go inside. I think someone was getting married....
This was Friday night before we went out for dinner downtown. This is right outside of our room at the hotel in front of the marina. We stayed on Shelter Island right across from the Naval Base. We saw a lot of Navy ships coming and going which was pretty cool. I am really glad we decided not to stay downtown. We weren't there to go out and party (b/c I am pregnant and lame :)) and we didn't drink much so it wasn't important to us to stay near the party scene. We were in bed by 10 almost every night :)
Another shot of the marina by our hotel.
We went to Cabrillo National Monument (and park) and we were down by the tide pools that are there and we saw some dolphins out in the water. It was pretty cool! I am glad we had our new camera with the zoom lens! :)
Me on the cliffs...
Don exploring the tide pools..
Us (me looking huge to quite huge)
These pictures are out of order...but this was Baby V's first trip to the Pacific :)
A nice lady jogging on the beach (I am jealous of people that can do this on a regular basis...) stopped and offered to take our picture.
Don wanted his picture taken with the aircraft carrier in the background. If you squint you can see it!
On Saturday we drove up to La Jolla to have lunch with a friend and on the way back we stopped at Pacific Beach and this was as the sun was setting. So pretty!!!
We had such a great time! I would love to go back. The weather out there was perfect the whole time we were there and it seriously made me wonder why in the world we live in MN!
I may have come back to work and looked to see if my company had any openings there...they didn't. Bummer :)

33 Weeks
Maternity clothes:
Yes
Sleep:
Depends on the night....I slept on the air mattress in the baby's room one night last week and it was the best night of sleep I had all week. I am tempted to move in there for a while :)
Movement:
Always. I always have some body part shoved up near my ribs. Really comfortable....
Food cravings:
Sweets
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
Who knows anymore!
What I'm looking forward to:

32 Weeks
We just got back yesterday from what I am not allowed to call our "babymoon." It was utterly fantastic, and I did not want to come home. We ended up going to San Diego. The weather was about 75 degrees and sunny every day, and if I could have stayed out there I would have. I think we need to win the lottery and move out there...or at least spend the winters out there...I will try and post some pictures at sometime.
Onto week 32. I know I say this a lot, but holy crap. Where has the time gone? I am looking forward to our showers at the end of February and the beginning of March. I want to get everything ready for Buzz's* entrance into the world!

Maternity clothes:
Yes
Sleep:
I slept great in San Diego. The bed was a king, and oh, so comfortable. When we finally decide to move, our first purchase for our new home will be a king bed!
Movement:
Yup. I always have some body part shoved up near my ribs. Really comfortable....
Food cravings:
Sweets
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
Who knows anymore!
What I'm looking forward to:
The showers...
What I miss:
Wine. I so wanted a glass when we went out to dinner on Friday night...Oh well. Only 8 more weeks :)
Oh, and the scale going down, not up.
Milestones:
Less than 60 days to go until the due date!
*Don and I started calling the baby Buzz this weekend. Don't think less of us...but we kept joking that being pregnant was a buzz kill b/c there are so many things you can't do. Well...now the baby's "name" is Buzz. At least for the next 8 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I actually love being pregnant (and this baby!)...just some of the stuff you can't do makes it a bit of a buzz kill :)

Picture Time!
Ok after looking at todays picture (31 weeks) I am feeling large! I do think my stomach is starting to get round instead of odd shaped. So I guess I have that going for me :)
29 Weeks
30 weeks
30 Weeks with a shirt on :) Don took these pictures, so to me they look funny b/c they are at a different angle....
Finally...31 weeks....I am feeling huge :)
Also, the baby feels like s/he is all up in my ribs. Kind of uncomfortable!
31 Weeks
Maternity clothes:
Yes
Sleep:
Ok. The weird dreams have started up again. Last night included a male nurse trying to help me breast feed but he was just reading the instructions from a book...
Movement:
Oh yeah. There is what feels like a butt up in my chest today.
Food cravings:
Sweets
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
In my dream last night, the babe was a girl...
What I'm looking forward to:
Our trip!
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back and laying on my stomach to read a book. And wine...I need a glass! Oh, and the scale going down, not up.
Milestones:
Countdown is into the single digits (weeks wise anyway)...
Maybe I will remember to put up pictures this week....:)

30/40
So, as of today we are 3/4 of the way through this pregnancy. Yay :) I can't wait to meet this little bugger. I am actually really enjoying pregnancy though so I can't complain about anything. (Knock on wood) Its been fairly easy so far. Hopefully I can continue saying that for at least a few more weeks! :)
Maternity clothes:
I'm not even going to bother changing this one anymore...yes!
Sleep:
Pretty darn good except I wake up so warm, so I throw off the covers, and then wake up a couple hours later freezing..
Movement:
All.The.Time.
Food cravings:
Ice cream. Anything with chocolate in it! :)
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
I'm going to have to apologize to this child if it turns out to be a boy, b/c I call the babe a girl all the time.
What I'm looking forward to:
Hopefully this doesn't make me sound greedy, but my showers....
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back and laying on my stomach to read a book. And wine...I need a glass! Oh, and the scale going down, not up.
Milestones:
30 weeks down, 10 to go.
And I was told once again that there is no way I am 30 weeks pregnant. I'm not gonna lie, I like it! I'll post some pics soon. With a sweater on, I really don't think I look that big, even if I feel huge!

29 Weeks...Holy Crap
Seriously, where has the time gone? I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that next week we will be 3/4 done with this pregnancy. Wowsers. :)
Maternity clothes:
I'm not even going to bother changing this one anymore...yes!
Sleep:
I got up every 2 hours on the nose both nights this weekend. It kind of sucked. But better on a weekend than during the week I guess.
Movement:
Definitely. I like feeling the rolling movements, its so cool. And kind of fun to guess what body part it might be :)
Food cravings:
Still just Diet Coke. Mondays have turned into Diet Coke Monday...its a good way to start my work week, but I don't let myself have another the rest of the week. That's not to say I don't drink other pop (Sprite mainly), I just read an article that kind of makes me want to stay away from Diet pops until the baby pops out! :)
Food aversions:
Not much...
Gender:
Still thinking girl. I might need to revisit the old wives tales again and see if they agree....the one I can tell you is the heart rate is at 152 and the wives tale says above 152 it is a girl. Who knows? :)
What I'm looking forward to:
My showers. We registered and I went to Target last week and had to wander through the baby aisle to look at our stroller that we registered for. I am excited :)
What I miss:
Sleeping on my back and laying on my stomach to read a book.
Milestones:
I am officially (a four year degree) college graduate! I specify only b/c I had my two year associates degree already. And I realize this is not baby related, but my graduation ceremony was yesterday and I am pretty damn proud of myself for finishing.
Also, while I know Don is excited to be a dad, he actually said the words this weekend. I loved hearing it :)
I also loved hearing two different people tell me I don't look big enough to be due in April. Way to make a girl who feels like a beached whale most days, feel good about herself!!
